Living Wardrobe (2015-Onward)

Living Wardrobe is an ongoing personal practice in sustainable fashion. In June of 2015 I made a decision to no longer participate in the destructive and exploitive traditions of our current fashion industry and to begin finding new habits of renewal and reuse in my own wardrobe. I learned how to sew from friends and Youtube and began to mend, alter, and create my own garments. I consume less and I care more for the local resources already available me. I extend the life of a garment by buying second hand and participating in clothing swaps, or I find fabrics from excess curtains or sheets to create one-of-a-kind outfits. Also, I limit my virgin fiber purchases to staples and undergarments from companies that exercise organic agriculture and fair trade as a way to cast my vote for a more sustainable future.

Clothing designs, sewing lessons, or wardrobe consultations are available for barter.
